They are good guns, and for a nice 12 I would pay $600 all day. Very nice ones can Go for more, but not crazy numbers.

If I were the buyer of this perticular gun,i would want to open it up and take a close look at the internals also.

A5s aren’t going for what they did several years ago due to all us old guys that hold them in high esteem are either dead or quit hunting.
All the young guys want Benellis.
You’ll rarely see a 12 gauge go for more than $800, a 20 gauge will go for more.
Some people will make a big deal over it being made in Belgium but those made by Miroku are very well made and most have screw-in chokes which I like.

I have a benelli, franchi, and a sweet 16. I may have an A5 12 or two still at my parents if my dad has not given them away.

Betcha it’ll need a new recoil spring to tame the recoil.
They get tired after 50 + years and you’ll be glad you spent that $20 for a new spring.
    Midwest has’em.

If you peruse Armslist and Gunbroker, the Browning A5 prices seem to cut along 3 lines - vintage up to the 1940's, 1940's - 1960ish and then the Japanese made models. Condition of course is a factor. There are almost no A5's under $600 that are in good condition. There are few vintage A5's under $800. Similarly priced are Remington Auto Loaders/Model 11's which are essentially the original Browning Autoloaders. Newer models from the post WWII years sell from $350 -$800 depending on condition. Vintage models from the first year of production in 1905 up to WWI in good condition or better can see prices from $500 up to $1200. Early production Remingtons are harder to come by in good condition. Just my observations.
