Some of the books suggested are only available on ebooks, of which I’m currently in the market for; so, any suggestions on which reader to buy? Based on some online reviews, I’m leaning towards a Kindle Paperwhite but don’t know squat about them. Help will be appreciated.
i'm in similar situation...but likely know less than anyone where to even start.

One of the longest and most interesting reads in my library is "Lee's Lieutenants : A Study In Command" by Douglas Southall Freeman. Pulished in 1942, the level of detail is stunning in this three volume work as it follows the course of the Civil War as fought by Robert E. Lee and the generals of the Army of Northern Virginia. Any student of military history needs this on his must read list.
