So…I am very confused. Are binary triggers illegal or not? I guess there is questionable language in the Florida statues but there was an ATF letter that said they are…so, what is the right answer?

Considered “bump stocks” in Florida due to the “we can redefine any word to mean whatever we want” lifestyle of lawyers/legislators.

Not familiar with an opinion letter from the BATFECES, but even if it exists, their own precedent shows it doesn’t matter. However, you may be confusing the FRT stuff with binary triggers.

Federally the bumpstock ban stuff should eventually go away. Following behind “should be” the States’ more restrictive laws, like Florida’s. Currently, the way a “bump stock” is defined, binary triggers are no bueno in the Gunshine State. Sad, right?

    F you, Rick Scott.

They were legal until Ricky Tick outlawed them after Parkland.

I don't like it either. You want to be neutered or go to prison?
Im smart enough to know better than to talk about the things I hypothetically do or dont do to circumvent gun laws.

But there is a moral obligation to not comply with tyrannical lives.

You can break the law or advise others, I'm staying out of prison.

To get back to OP's post - I believe they are not ok in the State of FL.
The ruling is still out on FRT triggers, but the powers that be seem to be coming after everything.
