Below is what was just issued.

    https://www.whitehouse.gov/briefing...ress-the-gun-violence-public-health-epidemic/

The Justice Department, within 30 days, will issue a proposed rule to help stop the proliferation of “ghost guns.” We are experiencing a growing problem: criminals are buying kits containing nearly all of the components and directions for finishing a firearm within as little as 30 minutes and using these firearms to commit crimes. When these firearms turn up at crime scenes, they often cannot be traced by law enforcement due to the lack of a serial number. The Justice Department will issue a proposed rule to help stop the proliferation of these firearms.

The Justice Department, within 60 days, will issue a proposed rule to make clear when a device marketed as a stabilizing brace effectively turns a pistol into a short-barreled rifle subject to the requirements of the National Firearms Act. The alleged shooter in the Boulder tragedy last month appears to have used a pistol with an arm brace, which can make a firearm more stable and accurate while still being concealable.

The Justice Department, within 60 days, will publish model “red flag” legislation for states. Red flag laws allow family members or law enforcement to petition for a court order temporarily barring people in crisis from accessing firearms if they present a danger to themselves or others. The President urges Congress to pass an appropriate national “red flag” law, as well as legislation incentivizing states to pass “red flag” laws of their own. In the interim, the Justice Department’s published model legislation will make it easier for states that want to adopt red flag laws to do so.

    National Red Flag Laws.

Let's enable the thin-skinned safe-space scaredy-cat easily-offended snowflakes to send a local goon squad to a red-blooded Patriot who said something hurtful.

I hope SOMEONE with a national voice at least challenges the assertion that criminals are building P80s and using them at crimes. And that they are harder to trace than the stolen guns they REALLY use. People only believe this because they want to.

pretty sure the number of "ghost" guns found at crime scenes, are 0

David Chipman, Biden's ATF pick, is a senior policy adviser at Giffords, the gun control advocacy group led by former Rep. Gabrielle Giffords, D-Ariz. He was a special agent at ATF for 25 years.

He also thinks AR-15s should be treated like machine guns.

“What I support is treating them just like machine guns,” Chipman, who is now a senior policy adviser at Giffords: Courage to Fight Gun Violence, told Hill.TV’s Buck Sexton and Krystal Ball on “Rising.”

“To me, if you want to have a weapon of war, the same gun that was issued to me as a member of [the] ATF SWAT team, it makes sense that you would have to pass a background check, the gun would have to be in your name, and there would be a picture and fingerprints on file,” he continued.

“To me, I don’t mind doing it if I want to buy a gun. These policies just protect the criminal. Like, I don’t think you should be able to anonymously purchase 20 AR-15s at one time, and the government shouldn’t know,” he said. “I don’t think it’s unreasonable at all that you have to pass a background check to own a weapon of war.”

Current federal law in effect defines what is a machine gun. Semiautos are not regulated differently relative to possession by any federal law and so they would need to enact new law via the house and senate.
And then there's the established the precedent of using “interpretation” by ATF to rewrite the statutory definition of “machinegun” in order to ban bump stocks.

So 80% will be "illegal". What about 75%, 50%? When does owning a drill press and a block of plastic or metal become constructive possession? What if you just have the print files on your computer or a thumb drive? Will an oil filter become constructive possession of a suppressor if you also own a tap & die set?

What Biden has released are executive actions and were done to placate his political debt to his antigunner allies. As long as the republicans stand firm, none of this will pass.
The bump stock thing went through because Trump and I believe the NRA were for it.
But the bump stock ban is not in agreement with federal law and a case for possession was settled in favor of the bump stock owner recently upon the testimony of an exATF agent expert witness for the defense.
But your certainly are right if they got the bumpstock ban through, perhaps other bad things might happen.

The powers that be are already prosecuting people who own just the drawing of a single full auto part....

I would like to own some of these "weapons of war". If they want to classify them the same, then by all means make a full auto or burst capable gun as available as a regular AR, since they're "weapons of war".
