    I need to have the receiver re blued on an old lever action 3030, where is the best place to go? Now that my guy is out of it I just don’t know anyone local.

    Looks like a pre 64 so at least have that on your side...
    Cold blue works good on some guns. $10 and give it a try. Depends on if you have a budget and how much rifle means to you and if it’s going straight back into the woods Or not. Nice looking wood.

    Looking at the 1 in serial number, thought it was pre 2 million range. I think more surface prep goes into a post 64 win to turn out blue instead of plum.

    Don’t know but don’t think it is a pre 64. It’s a Sears model and I don’t think any pre 64’s had anything else on the barrel except Winchester.

    He is in Milton. And fairly priced. :) there are different methods depending on the metal and your preferences so best you call him for a quote. Going back to get a slide parkerized soon!!
