AR Buffer tube ??

I know little about AR's, that said, I tried to remove the buffer tube to look at something and somehow managed to mangle the small/long spring under the retaining ring. Question is what is it call so I can try to order one?? Or can I get one local?/ Thanks

I've got lots of extras.

Detent spring? There're two of the same spring and detent. They're used to capture the takedown and pivot pin. You can have one if you don't mind the drive to Milton.

One trick I've used to eliminate this issue and make buffer tube work easier is to tap the receiver and put a set screw in.

The set screw and driver can be found at Hobby Town next to the Walmart on Creighton. The tap can be found at Sears.

I capture all mine with the 4-40 set screw. Works awesome!
