I have kicked around the idea to get a budget friendly bolt action in .308 to plink with and maybe hunt with some day. I was looking the other day and saw where Thompson Center had come out with a second gen Compass with improved trigger. They also now offer it with a 16” barrel as well as adjustable length of pull. I already own a first gen Compass in 7mm-08 and am pleased with it for the money. Hopefully ammo will become more plentiful in the future and the .308 will be more economical to plink with. I don’t reload and don’t see it in my future.
