So after selling my Glock 27 today, and looking at the small stash of 40 S&W I have sitting around, is it worth a second look?

Are there any pistols, carbines, etc. that I should look into that use the caliber pretty effectively? Any personal favorites that use this caliber?

Just buy a 9mm conversion barrel (gold threaded)and then you essentially have a g26. Then you can avoid the embarrassment of telling your friends that you still have a 40 cal.

Edit my comprension skillz and the glare on my phone. I read it as seeing my 27

Why did you sell your 27? You could try a Glock 22/23. I don’t get into the sub or micro pistols like the Hellcat/P365, etc. My personal limit is the G19 in size.
    90% of the time it’s a G22 for me.

    - Too chunky for conceal carry *at least for me*
    - Would be spending more time and money on making it multi-purpose, which would take away from familiarizing and training with what I got.

Like don't get me wrong, I'd like to see if there is anything I can do to repurpose 40 S&W to something specific, but it'd have to be something 9mm nor 223/556 can't do.

Giving the ammo to me might be your best bet. A few years ago I picked up a Glock 22 police trade-in when everyone was selling them for $299. Of course it is nothing special. Maybe a High Point carbine? My 9mm carbine is fun and pretty accurate

I second a pcc. On a steel course, it lands with much more authority than 9mm. Look into the power of .40 in a 16" barrel.

Guess you can but maybe you shouldn’t.

Mind blowing. I just might have to buy a 10mm Glock to try this out
