Stallone for years has publicly made antigun statements and yet some think of him as even a role model.

“Until America, door to door, takes every handgun, this is what you're gonna have,” Stallone declared after comedian Phil Hartman was murdered by his wife. It wasn’t just an observation, it was a recommendation:

“It's pathetic. It really is pathetic. It's sad. We're living in the Dark Ages over there. It has to be stopped, and someone really has to go on the line, a certain dauntless political figure, and say, ‘It's ending, it's over, all bets are off.’ It's not 200 years ago, we don't need this anymore, and the rest of the world doesn't have it. Sylvester Stallone started his acting career with a soft-core pornography movie. He chose to act in an adult film at a time when he was homeless and sleeping in a bus terminal in New York. He said he saw a casting notice of the porn movie "The Party at the Kitty Stud's (1970)," and contacted the producers. I remember someone had a copy of "Italian Stallion" in some army barracks a long time ago. I always wondered why Stallone would perform in a movie such as that after he had gained fame as "Rocky." As Radar O'Reilly said, there was "noodle frontity." I just tipped my cap and moved on. This puts that mystery in perspective.

I may like you natural given ability to “pretend” you are who you are portraying, that doesn’t mean I give two shits about your opinion on anything, least of which is your stand on my rights. I get that they are tend setters or something. But thinking that I care what they say just boggles my mind. The problem is when our leaders and the ones that make laws and do things that affect ordinary people's lives listen to them!
