Saw some kiddos playing with some squirt guns today. Everything was fine and dandy. They seemed to be having fun. Then one smiled and hello mister. I then saw he had braces. Two of them! Then his brother smiled! They was both packing braces! I gasped and told him to get his felonious azz away from me with those things! I explained to his mother just how deadly the squirt guns was after those two things are combined. I could tell she was just as disgusted as I was! She grabbed them and ran away real fast! I bet she was a felon too the more I think about it! They run in pairs ya know! I of course dialed up the authorities immediately after.
Alot of lives saved today!

There's so many new owners of guns now due to all the fear porn this past few years alone that most won't have a slightest clue as to all this new laws etc. Unless they immediately signed up to forums and gun channels after. Millions won't know a thing for long long while. Maybe most will learn a few years from now when they're older family member dies and they try to hawk his guns. They'd be notified in form of being locked up I guess lol

No one cares, until the ATF makes an example out of the few first sellers, and they will make an example in an effort to deter others

Im under the impression this is not a pistol brace ban, it's the introduction of everything is an SBR at under 16". I have braces on all my rifles because I swap uppers out while at the range.
I own very few stocks, but all of my configurations are legal as of today.

I actually had a buddy tell me that he read it. And that it stated that once ya photo it and submit it in with a brace on it, you have to leave the brace on it forever after. Which typically isn't how things work. I haven't read it all yet so I have no clue. But I think they added wording so even with no brace or stock at all, if it exceeds a weight limit, and or has optics setup for rifle like use, that alone makes it an SBR.
I suggest people go watch Ian at forgotten weapons. He did a special on it all and how it even got started. It answered many questions I had. It actually wasn't even meant for rifles per say. They tried to outlaw actual pistols then. But pistols got removed. Long story and best he tells the story. It's a dam useless mess. Hopefully people spread this. And others see just how dumb the laws are

He does a good job explaining how shotguns mysteriously stayed at 18 inches, but rifles got switched to 16 for some odd mysterious reason. Turns out the FEDs accidentally sold a ton of 16 inch barreled guns! They broke thier own dam rules lmao. So they did what all politicians and agencies do when that happens, they re write the rules so they're no longer in trouble themselves. You can't do that tho. Just them. So don't get any bright ideas lol

There has been bills to remove suppressors and sbrs from the NFA. Abolish the AFT .. national carry etc etc.. all have zero chance .. to pass they would have to pass both sides of congress and sniffy joe would have to sign.. we all know that will not happen.. all political theater.. better path, lawsuits, injunction SCOUS.. at the end of the day AFT has nothing to lose and when the dust settles they will have millions of new records even if they do not enforce.

Not congress that's for sure.. 5th Circuit court with a clear ruling and brilliant written opinion will get that shit show overturned. That with SCOUS ruling on EPA will help.

Reading the ATF FAQ on the final rule, there is this:

10. ONCE THE FIREARM IS REGISTERED AS A SHORT-BARRELED RIFLE (SBR) CAN I REMOVE/CHANGE THE “STABILIZING BRACE” OR ATTACH AN ITEM MARKETED AS A STOCK? IF SO, AM I REQUIRED TO NOTIFY ATF IN ADVANCE?

Yes, the firearm is registered as an SBR, and you can change out the “brace” device or stock for a different brace or stock. You do not need to contact ATF/NFA because changing the brace/stock
does not change the configuration of the SBR. However, if the length of the firearm has changed you will need to notify the NFA Division.

it is for sure a fishing expedition... even if the rule is reversed, there will be some who sent their info in, they are compiling a gun registry, by any means possible, they will keep adding to it with different schemes...

There are almost three hundred pages in this final rule and there are many legal snafus in it. Most of those with braced pistols are now in possession of illegal SBRs or least they will be illegal in 4 months.
Before doing anything with those firearms, wait at least a month or two prior to doing anything with them until there is some clarity on the myriad of traps in this final rule. It is still last I heard has not been released to the federal register that is strange and will likely fail court challenges for many reasons.
If you signed a 4473 for a braced equipment pistol, under no conditions do you want to sell an illegal SBR that can be traced to you. You probably can sell the upper without a lower, but I am not a lawyer. If you made it on an 80% receiver and kept yout DNA off of it, it is then a cold piece, but still the penalty for illegal SBRs can go to 10 years. Think before you act.
There 1,000,000s of people that are affected, effected, and afflicted by this stupidity. Do not increase the stupids and get caught up in it.
Right that also includes trying to do the 'free' SBR tax stamp registration. Even that is apparently a Trap.
