Keep an eye on this thread to follow my rebuild of this horribly put together romanian ak47 underfold. I've never had to demill an AK before so stay tuned to see how it turns out. I'll post the "before" pictures on here and new pictures will be added into the comment section as I progress

I stripped the rifle down, removed all the old rivets, install new rivets, painted the receiver as temporary protection to prevent rust. Like I said in the title I've never demilled an AK before. I ground the rivet heads down with a bench grinder and then drilled them the rest of the way out from there. If you look closely you can see marks where I hit the reciever with the grinder. I ordered a special tool to properly remove rivets so this won't happen again in the future. Aside from that I am very happy with the results. The front trunnion was originally for a 22mm barrel shoulder however the original barrel has been pressed in and out so many times I had to order an over size 23mm barrel. Not too upset about this seeing as I checked headspace prior to stripping the gun down and found this rifle to be a literal hand grenade. Field gauge went in with zero effort as well as a no go gauge so the barrel was toast anyways.
