Me too. Last year I paid $130 for 500 rounds of Federal FMJ in cash at a Cabelas in Scarborough, and until I can get that price again in a retail setting all of the ammo retailers can all go stick itWow. Plain jane fmj. 6 months ago I paid 260 shipped for 1000....
Just sold two of my 9mm'sIf this keeps up people will start selling all their 9mm weapons, much the same way the .22's were selling.
But your gonna need small primers.... another roadblock!Time to dust off my reloading gear...best 9mm deal I have seen this year (back in Feb 2020) was 500 rods of Tula 9mm for $120 Shipped. Everything ammo price wise to have at least doubled/tripled in price. This current “deal” is a example.
If memory serves me right, it’s about 12-18 months AFTER the initial crazziness dies down. In the Sandyhook timeframe, there was so much talk of another assault weapons ban and calls from the lefties to “take away your assault weapons”, most folks went into panic mode. it wasn’t just ammo, it was anything AR....magazines, stripped lowers, lower parts kits, 22 ammo became goldplated for its perceived value. 12-18months latter, you could find ammo on the shelf undisturbed.Question for the OGs: how long does this ammo thing typically last? I was 13 when President Obama was elected the first time, and I didn't really have a pulse on ammo sales lol.
It tapered down at about 1-2 years for guns and most calibers, but to consistently see shelves full of .22 lr I would say 4 1/2 years.Question for the OGs: how long does this ammo thing typically last? I lived during the time of excess and didn't know it. I wish I could have had some wisdom when I saw shelves bulging with ammo but I was just starting out with firearms. My father was very religious and would say "God protects me why do I need a gun?". Bought my first ar and pistol this time last year. I have definitely learned my lessons about politics affecting my hobby. It's very unfortunate and sad we the people have to fear having our rights stripped away by a nanny state or by the whim of a few people for political points
