Been taking an interest lately in my 6mm x 45mm, I've had it for a long time. Wanted to try the Sierra 90gr TGK's but they are too long so I went with the Nosler 70gr BT's to try. I have several worthy powders but today I tried AA2200 and IMR 8208XBR.

The rifle has an 18" RLG barrel, I just added a Timney trigger and Vortex Viper PST. I forgot my shooting bags but I was able to made due. Set the Chrony up and fired about 15 rounds. The AA2200 turned in good groups with the best at .750" and runs about 2960 FPS. However, I guess the burn rate is off as it won't lock the bolt back (never any cycle issues with this rifle). The 8208XBR runs strong and turned in some good groups considering. Speeds were 2788 FPS and none of the loads showed any signs of pressure despite being close to published max... I have room to go a little hotter.

The rifle...

The ammo...

Best 5-round groups...

Of course the best test of all is on game so on the way home I stopped off at the ranch knowing I could easily find a hog. Shot this sow at about 80 yards, she never knew what hit her.

Is that a .243 ish round?? Best test is on live game. Love the odg. I bet adding a Flaming Pig on the rifle it will work without fooling with anything.
