I would also just like to know who all is hunting with this caliber, pics of your kills with bullet specific performance.

Gotcha covered, Stanley. This isn't my picture, but it's got what you're looking for.

Found this on the 6.8 forum, I thought it might interest folks interested in the 6.8. There are better rds for this by the way.

    6.8 16" @ 600yds

I made some new metal targets for our personal range and figure i might as well break them in.

Here is my first ever group at 600yds with the 6.8 / 120gr SST thru my 16" BHW barrel using a Vortex PST 2.5-10. Im not positive but i think from 100yds to 600yds i cranked the elevation up 24.5moa?

The 10 shot group was about 9".

    Here is mine. Nothing special.
    100% Palmetto State Armory
20" heavy profile barrel - 11" twist - chrome lined - not floated
    premium BCG
    Larry Vickers VTAS sling
    Nikon Prostaff 2-7

I have a couple hundred rounds through it. 100% reliable so far. I had no problem getting 2" - 2.5" groups at 200 yd. at Styx River on a breezy day with 120 gr. bullets. I need to work up some loads and see what it shoots best. I like that heavy barrel. It doesn't seem to heat up as fast.

Hey John, that handguard is not free float? The twist on the barrel? chrome lined? If you check 6.8 forums you can see the tested loads and different bullets too. I think 2" at 200 is very respectable but after playing with it more I am betting you get that down quite a bit.

Yeah Frank, I left that out. 11" twist - chrome lined - not floated.

I imagine I can get the groups down a little by tweaking the loads but I was quite pleased with my initial results. It seems to like the heavy bullets.

Yeah freefloat and you will add accuracy, don't have to go crazy in cost either. The new UTG pro has been getting good reviews. Chrome lined are a crap shoot and the more you shoot it the better it will get generally. You got a good one or it would not shoot as well as it does. The 1-11 is good I assume it is a SPCII.
