I have 3 shots left and I'm down to 22s. I've watched some videos of people loading their own using different caliber dies to fold the lip over the end cap. Has anyone here done this and is it as straight forward as it looks on Youtube? 45 and 9mm shotshells are impossible to find right now and the 22s just don't work that well out of a pistol.

I watched JJ make some using .41 Magnum pistol reloading dies and cutting down .308 rifle brass to the exact length.
JJ told me .45acp relies on case mouth headspace to function properly.
    Not easy to achieve this.

    Seemed pretty tedious making them.

I’ve made bunches of .38 and .357 shotshells. Easy to make and “somewhat” impressive for what the are.

Making 45 shot shells is not as straight forward as u-tube shows it. Can you make it work yes but don't expect making to meanly that works . I was luckily I have a lathe , so I made some of the parts to keep things uniform and repeatable .Also did the same thing to make 9mm and 380. . Just my 5 cents jj

Academy had a lot of 9mm yesterday AM. However, they were very proud of them. They come in packs of 10. If I remember they were about $22 a pack.

I was at Academy again this morning and I remembered correctly 10 packs of 9mm shot shells $22 a pack. They had 32 in inventory.

Was using # 9 and #12 the # 9 worked good because it had more penetration If i had some # 10 I think that would be what I would use. I posted some pict. don't know if they are still on the form. Just my 5 cents.
