    Apparently I have a thing for off the wall cartridges , does anyone reload for 44/40 and have any revolver loads for say a break action s&w clone ?
    I could go with the old black powder loads as well.

    I would strongly suggest you go with the smokeless powder loads.
    Black powder is too darned dirty and is generally a PITA.
    Brass is abundent. Load your own to the "fun" power level. ---- SAWMAN
