    Would not be for me.
    I prefer a dark oiled ,flat finish on my wood.
    I am fixing to start a project after JJ works his magic. Will need info on the oiled finish look.
    Hopefully will not have to replace any wood,just strip and refinish.
    How your firearm looks is as varied as the truck you drive or the whiskey you drink.

    Bill if you want an oiled matte finish, use boiled linseed oil. Thin coats applied with your fingers. Allow each coat to dry a minimum of 24 hours, depending on humidity. DO NOT LEAVE A RAG WITH BOILED LINSEED OIL ON IT WADDED UP LAYING ON A BENCH OR SOMETHING!
    It Will spontaneously combust.
