I like my 28 O/U. I shoot quail and skeet with it mostly. I bought a flat of Winchester AA Target loads for $98.99 a couple of weeks ago at my LGS. Last time I bought a flat at Wally World they were $79.90 a flat.

Doesn't all of the Winchester AA series move at the same speed across the board whether it is 410 or 12 ga...either 1200, 1250, 1300 or 1350?
Pretty much correct on muzzle velocity. Difference is the amount of shot in the string.
Small gauge guns tend to have a very slightly higher velocity. 1300 on the 28 vs. 1250 on the 12ga.
This numbers apply to Winchester AA light target loads.

I have a couple of 28 grand lightning over and unders. Been shooting quail with them for years. They have saved my shoulder and made me a better shot. My father shoots a 410 and kills every bird that gets up. I tried the 410 and I realize real quick I can’t shoot near as good as I think!

I enjoy my Benelli Ethos 20 so much, I added a 28 to the pile. I figure practice busting clays with the 28 will improve my shooting in the field with my 20.

the .28 has a better shot string...that alone will improve your results.
