This is my 1897 winchester 12ga take down I’ve owned for a couple years now. It is a 1908 take down model. The barrel was cut down to 23 1/2 inches at some point in its lifetime and they never reinstalled a bead. Everything functions as it should. No feeding or ejecting issues. And yes, the slam fire works perfectly on this war crime stick. Sometime during its life it was blued and has a high polish, so some of the markings are difficult to see.
