Long drive, but there is an excellent gunsmith that works out of his home in the Brandon/Seffner area, Mike Dettrich.
I had Tampa Armory thread a couple of barrels.
ATF has taken the electronic filing system off line.

It seems the tribes only want to block pipelines.
Windmills are ugly, but the land they sit on can still farmed or grazed.
The two families I pheasant hunt with in SoDak are each getting a windmill on their farms.
One of the farms next to my deer lease in Calhoun County GA was leased out and converted to a solar energy source.
The owner was getting somewhere in the neighborhood of $225 per acre renting the land to farm. The solar company pays $400 or so an acre annually.
Fortunately our landowner has no...
But it would come close to taking the same percentage of my bi-weekly check to buy one today vs back when they cost $79. Fortunately my income has increased along with the cost of Mosins. Hopefully yours has as well.
My salary has at least tripled since the last time I saw $39 Mosins at Rose's...

I do not attempt to adjust turrets when shooting at deer.
I have 2 of the VXIII in 3.5-10 x 50, one I bought new in 1995. The '95 has scratches, dings, a chip out of the screw housing on the dial ring, but it holds zero just as good as ever.
My second was bought new about 2010 or so, it is also is doing a great job for me.
These days, I try to buy...
Installed the scope rings on my Bergara B14 308. Scope is due to arrive tomorrow.
Also installed a Scalarworks mount on a used Benelli
M4 I stumbled into a couple of weeks ago. Now to decide on the optic, thinking about a Swampfox Justice II green dot.
I very much enjoy illuminated reticles and have multiple Trijicon Accupoints. The Accupoints do not require batteries.
In your price range, I would look at something in this group, Burris Fullfield IV.

Try to scrounge up a few more bucks and get a Trijicon Accupoint with a tritium powered green dot on the crosshairs. Best low light scope available short of a night vision rig.
