      Recommendations for self defense (non firearm) training

      I agree with DKirkland that grappling is very important. Whatever system you choose, I’d say study the mental/preventative side of self defense as well: conflict de-escalation, situational awareness, use of barriers and distance, victim deselection, and such. Some classes will integrate this...
