If it's not specifically posted "no guns" you should be fine. I know Sacred Heart has the "no guns" signs everywhere. If it IS posted "no guns," then you could be ordered to leave the premises if you do something boneheaded and reveal that you are carrying. If you fail to leave they will probably contact law enforcement and issue a trespass warning against you.

So if it were me, and I were the "driver" for someone undergoing surgery, I wouldn't risk it.

If the hospital (or mental health facility) provides “mental health services”, then you can’t bring a gun on the property, “except as authorized by law”.

If the hospital is big enough to do surgeries, it probably provides mental health services, too.

Authorized by law means you can leave it secured in the vehicle in the parking lot.

“Concealed” also means concealed, so… do what feels best.

this right here... if its concealed it's nobodies bidness. all they can do in gun free zones is ask you to leave. just do so. if you don't, it's now armed trespass which is no bueno.

if they see a bulge, tell them it is a colostomy bag , and full...

Coincidentally, if I was printing and someone were to ask, my canned response is “It’s a medical device.”
If pressed further, depending on how nice I feel the situation necessitates: “It affects blood pressure.”
Beyond that, it’s personal medical info and none of their business.

Edit to clarify: no one has ever asked.

you can do anything you want to do ,if you are willing to suffer the consequences
if you are caring a weapon in an area that legally restricts that weapon you may get a charge and be detained
they may tell you to leave or the police may show up and arrest you I carry everywhere I go except where posted to not carry where it is then locked in my truck military bases will and do search your vehicle

Military base and courthouse is the only place I don't carry.
Old Baptist had a no gun sign on their doors, not sure about the new hospital.
At night at old Baptist there is no way I'm going in there without a gun unless I'm on a stretcher. Wrong neighborhood.

you are in florida now, not nj, we don't ask any unnecessary questions that they don't have the need to know about.... you won't be asked about if you have one, so don't volunteer that information

I don’t think I would have a gun locked in my car on a military base.
