Signed a contract to buy 85 acres in Conecuh County AL, just waiting on the lawyer to finalize paperwork, title search and the deed. Since losing my lease of 26 years after the 2022-23 season ended that joined my 20 acres where I live I’m excited. I did sit on back of my 20 acres this past season as I didn’t have anywhere else I could go. Watched 8-17 maybe as many as 19 deer every morning and afternoon I’d sit out back but just being at home I just couldn’t get in to it. Many days I had to scare the turkeys away from my feeders so the deer would have something to eat. Probably have one of the best set ups to hunt that a man could have but I’m ready to hit the road to hunt elsewhere. Property I’m buying is 37 miles from my house, good roads all the way to it makes it about a 45 minute drive. Huge bucks in the area, I’ve been given pics by the previous owners and I can’t wait. I’ll post some pics all along of work I’ve completed on the place, probably have 3 plots I’ll keep planted on the land. Had been looking for a year now for at least a 40 acre tract out in the middle of nowhere and looked several parcels over but nothing satisfied me, well I’ve got an excellent spot now, pines, big oaks, a creek too. Will update with pics when I can if anyone is interested in seeing the place.

It looks like clear cut property here and it was selectively cut in places and replanted a few years back in what looks open on the picture. Good road system throughout the property. Must have been an old home place long time ago, I’ve got a water meter to the right of the gate and a pole with a transformer on left side of gate. So when the time comes to build a little camp house or move one in I’ll have utilities.

Some pics from my new hunting property, a bunch of apple and pear trees on the place and lots of nice oaks
