He definitely acted like he was under the influence in my opinion. Id say benzos and/or opiates from the look of him - just a guess who knows. Good thing regardless, considering the malfunction. Id have hated to see how that went down if the bad guy was more alert. How the heck did he still have a gun on him?

Yeah I bet EMS figured the cops searched him and the cops figured EMS did. Had this happen but the subject only had drugs not weapons

Looked like he shot once while limp wristing it and induced a failure to feed. Also looked like the cop wearing the body cam had control of the perps hand and arm until the other cop started tasing the perp, so maybe the body cam cop let go because he felt the taser too?

This is a good argument for revolvers as a duty weapon. No failures to feed or eject. Some of those 8 round 357's are still cheaper than some of those semiautos. Reports from WW1 were saying most preferred the M1917 revolver over the M1911 for reliability and accuracy. I heard most beat cops, too, when the "wonder nine" was introduced to American law enforcement, preferred to keep their revolver. Before anybody says anything about revolver speed and capacity, Jerry's 45ACP S&W revolver with full moon clips set speed records for handguns

I watched the vid a few times, looks like the cop had a S&W M&P semi auto. Not sure why his gun jammed after the first shot but he’s lucky and needs to spend way more time practicing how to clear a jam (under pressure) imho...curious to know what kind of gun homey the clown was Mexican carrying in his sweat pants...glad to see no police or innocents were hurt in this altercation...

This article about the incident goes at great length to mention the “victim” is black and the police officers are “white”....makes you wonder about today’s current state of affairs in our country.
