+1 for deadair nomad 30 and key-mo mounts. Reputable companies offer lifetime warranties.
Check out Rugged suppressors, some are modular, so you have the Choice of a shorter can or quieter (longer) can.

I finally saved up enough to purchase my first suppressor. I think I’ve settled on the Dead Air Sandman S and I was looking on SilencerCo's website. It looks like a streamlined process for the Supressor, Tax Stamp, and single shot trust.

Given all the experience on here, do you all have any recommendations, warnings, better ways for me to do this? Is the trust a good Idea? would there be a better can for me to get for 300 AAC? Is there a better place to purchase this? Im always leery of one stop shops jacking up the prices.

    Any advice is appreciated.
You won't go wrong with the sandman. I've shot it and it is very quiet. You will save some coin and weight with the Nomad 30 if that's your thing. The sandman is more robust, if you want no compromise.

Bigger, fatter, longer the better in centerfire cans, Q full Nelson or nomad L longer, unless your constantly shooting out of your car window, then go shorter, direct thread over any Quick attach system, more versatility not less, when those adapters are not available or on back order an you have a new rifle to try, or your buddy got a new rifle and your curious how your can sounds with 6.5 or 300wm.

Not a fan of direct thread.
    There’s nothing locking it on.
    SiCo ASR is my favorite.

Nope. 22 just doesn’t feel like a firearm. I’ve used it for pest control, but I think I’d rather use a pellet rifle. No stamps and probably more reliable. I also didn’t grow up shooting grand dad’s wooden gun out on the farm, so there’s no nostalgic attachment on my part. But I digress.

That’s a real shame, you missed so many good times . I wouldn’t take a gold pig for my memory’s of the days I spent hunting with my Papa.

What requirement are you referring to about interstate transportation of a muffler or silencer for any firearm by the ATF?

ATF form 5320.20 dated October 2019 does Not identify a silencer as an NFA item that requires permission.

Your an FFL that deals with this stuff so what am I missing? Thanks for any further info, I’m nervous now...

Yeah, same. If I go visit my family in Wisconsin, am I going to get in trouble if I bring my Suppressor?
Is this going to turn into the same crap as the bump stock I got in 2015 that I had to cut in pieces and trash once the Government decided it was too dangerous for normal people to own?

What if I decide to move back up there permanently?

I didn't read the post and actually think through my reply. All I was thinking was nfa across borders.

Suppressors aren't listed on the permission slip. As long as your destination is suppressor friendly you're good to transport.

I'm not a lawyer and the laws can always change.

I’m going to begin using the item name muffler vs can or silencer, sounds more better.
