I don't believe there is a thing as too many guns. If I had the money, I would have a lot more than I do now. All of my guns have a purpose and that purpose if for me to use them as I see fit. Whether its plinking, hunting, defense or whatever, I can use them for whatever I want.
Going back to...
I bet he likes to complain about how no one wants to hire him as a bank teller or teacher and how that's so unfair. I am sorry but even I would be concerned if I saw him as one of my kids' teachers. The tattoos don't really bother me but to see someone who at one point decided "hey, I am going...
Not in any particular order.
1. Cimarron Schofield with a 5" barrell.
2. Dragunov
3. A Krink.
4. A double stacked magazine Makarov.
5. BAR.
I thought of putting some of the more common bucket list guns like a Thompson machine gun or a Garand, but no. These are the ones I want.
I don't have a side mount on my AK, but if you are looking for other options, you get the Ultimak gas tube. It is a little pricey, but I love mine. Makes it like a scout set up. Super solid and fairly easy to install. For a red dot, I have a Bushnell TRS-25 that I fucking love. I have had it on...
Not a movie but I finished watching Z-Nation awhile back. It's completely off the wall screwy sometimes but very entertaining. Wish they could have come up with a better ending for it but overall not a bad show.
Ordered a Mk V holster from Savoy Leather. Now its just a 8-12 week wait. I usually don't go for the high quality holsters but I really liked the look of this one. Tomorrow I might go purchase a Cimarron Thunderer in .357. We shall see.
I've have also heard that the mags for those platforms can be problematic. What is your budget? CMMG, I think, makes an AR that fires 7.62x39 but it takes AK mags. I think they go for about $1,000, but I could be wrong. That is the route I would go. Just a thought.
One of the cheapest guns I own is a Makarov from '86 or '87. Cost me about $250 four years ago. I love the little fucker and have put about 3,000 (give or take a few hundred) rounds through the barrel since I got it. It is one of my favorite firearms to take out.
This does sound like it would be a pretty cool DIY project. I do agree with you, wildrider, using the ax as it shouldn't be a problem. It's when you start heating up the metal and trying to fix it, that is where I see potential issues. I have seen several attempts to try and weld two pieces of...
If the crack is where the harder metal was forge welded to the softer portion of the head you might find a blacksmith who could forge weld them back together, however I thing there would be big concern in trying to forge weld a portion that may have rust, dirt, or grease in it. If you don't do...
