Another great guy that didn’t contribute much but was on the forum lurking several hours a day was Bo Smith, aka Recoil. Him and his dad had a small gun shop on the west side called Coastal guns and ammo. A big guy with an even bigger heart. He passed November of 2020.
I’m trying to do my part as well. My daughter is 8 and has been around guns her entire life like I was. She started out with a red Ryder, and now has a single shot .22. She killed her first deer this year with “her” .22 hornet. I don’t think I have to worry about her losing interest any time soon...
I like the nostalgia of a manual transmission, and still own and drive one regularly. I’m also doing my part to keep it going by teaching all of my young employees how to drive one.
Mediacom is still out at the shop. No internet means no phones. Making everything very challenging. My house which is 2.2 miles down the road has CenturyLink and had it the next day after the storm.
I have a couple Smith and Wesson 686s I would sell. One is a 4 inch the other is an 8 inch. Both stainless of course. They aren’t going to be cheap, Pm me if interested.
I caught Tim last Friday and got some rounds for $16 an ounce. Was kicking myself when I woke up Monday morning and saw the bottom fell out. Hopefully they will get more silver in soon.
