I took all of the boxes of brass off the top of my 4X8 work table and sorted 3 buckets of brass I keep tripping over on the side. I found several hundred .30-30 and .270WSM I didn't know I had. My buddy has been asking me for .270WSM to load for one of his customers. The top looked like this.

now we got this...all is sorted in cat litter buckets just to the left and out of sight. Now I can walk to down the left side of the bench. Threw away half those empty boxes I was saving if need to ship something. I'll go ahead and size/clean the small buckets left on top....243, .260, 308 and .270. I found another 2 good sized boxes of LC .308 Match and 1 box of LR I forgot about. A bunch of stuff... .204 Ruger and a few other odd things.

now to get it off the loading bench behind it
Wow! You have enough brass there to melt down and make a nice size plaque as an award for cleaning up that work bench.

I spent a little time swapping some optics on a couple of my SIGs. I bought a new ROMOE-X PRO to put on the P226 XFIVE LEGION along with a SIG optic/suppressor height rear sight that goes with the front sight. After installing the rear sight and sitting the ROMEO-X PRO in front of it, my concern was clear. The built-in rear sight of the optic was much lower than the rear sight on the pistol and the iron sight alignment was about midway in the optic. What I ended up doing was robbing the ROMEO2 from my P320 XTEN and putting it on the P226 XFIVE LEGION and the ROMEO-X PRO on the XTEN. Now, both are perfectly set up. The nice thing about the ROMEO-X PRO is that it will handle the 10mm rounds just like the ROMEO2.

New Riton X3 MPRD arrived that I bought on a PSA daily intending to put it on my new panzer M4 that I’ll pick up later this week. Man, it’s tiny! Too small for a shotgun I think. Seems well built though so may find another application. A quarter completely covers it. Pic in front of a cheap Feyachi red dot on my RIA VR70 for reference.

see...target bullets will kill a deer dead...some folk don't believe it
That bullet blew up. (Poly tip) I had some concerns about using it. From reading online from " the experts"
Photos of damage. 1st pix exit.
Now i gotta pick another rifle to use, to justify its place in the collection, lol

I'm not an expert...but that was a catastrophic bullet failure...for the deer too.

you can see here what Hornady designed it for

I don't think you need to pick another rifle.... just a different bullet at the range you were shooting
I have seen MatchKings perform pretty well at 600 yards. I have read that many prefer the ELD-M to the ELD-X too.
If your a Hornady fan it is just hard to beat the BTSP Interlock

I've got 130gr otm federal ( some GI # i forget) I'd like to try. Want to find 100gr or 110gr. To see if I can get +3k speed.

you will have similar/worse results with the OTM. The speed is where the failure is coming from. 400 yards would be a different story I think. I have shot a .45-70 with the FTX bullet and had the same failure and it is a harder bullet. Granted I was on my knees and all I could see was hog nostrils running through the tunnel at me. I have the jacket on my desk at home but lost the tip somewhere.

load up some of the Barnes TTSX in that weight and you will get what you want. I used some 130TSX in a .270 load running 3200fps and there were bone fragment coming outta the entry hole too on a neck shot.

Well catastrophic failure made a mess and drt. Looks like a good round to me! Better than a mushroom slug that Flys thru like a fmj? It appears to me it dumped all the energy into the deer. Which is what I want. I have fusion. Sig copper and tula sp.
