As the title says, I went in Gulf Coast Guns (Wednesday the 22nd AM) with cash in my pocket to buy a rifle that I had looked at the day before and I was totally ignored. They weren't busy either, mostly just bsing among themselves. Wasn't even greeted at the door. I walked all through the store, even took the rifle off of the rack, worked the bolt, removed the magazine, and still no sales person .First time for everything I guess. I walked in with full intentions of buying it, but I walked out with not a single person saying anything to me, and left. And no, I don't expect to be fawned over, but when almost no one is in the store it would be nioe to be approached to see what I needed. So, if you're looking for a Ruger American in .556/223 it's still hanging on the wall, lol.

It's a bad precedent when you walk into a gun store and no sales man or worker acknowledges your presence its like when you walk into a car dealership and no dealer acknowledges you same principle

Car dealerships will attack you lol.

OP said "first time for everything" Seems he's been in that store before and greeted... but not this one time? Was he greeted when he was last in there looking at said rifle? Perhaps the folks recognized him.

Regardless... the thought of making a post on a gun board because I walked into a gun store and no one said hello would never have crossed my mind... I guess I'm not easily offended.

I guess I'm odd man out and the OP really showed them who was boss by not buying something he wanted and stated he went to purchase. So, OP wasted his time and gas going to the store and leaving empty handed... interesting.

Seriously, I think I made it clear that I don't expect to be fawned over and treated like royalty, but it would be nice to be acknowledged. LOL, Read what I said, lol, or maybe that's too much to ask.

I get it... maybe they just figured you had it covered. Are they usually friendly?

BTY, I don't mind being dumped on, no hurt feelings here, lol, but it would be nice to be waited on, especially when they are not busy and the salesmen are BS'ing among themselves. I guess it's off to Ubers.

I would rather spend my money at Uber's anyway. Pick up some primers while you are there as Naomi works her ass off daily to stay abreast of where she can get them and keep them on hand. Same with powder, the powder cabinet is almost full.
Naomi is good people. Been doing business with Uber's since before Black Talons were banned.

Regardless of how we got to this sidetrack, I’ll throw in a big “+1” for Uber’s.

Heck, go there even to just look up and enjoy the memories of being a kid, building model airplanes, and hanging them in your room. :)
I've never been to Ubers yall are making me want to go there

I don't mind my thread being derailed to support Ubers. They are a much better shop anyway.
