That’s interesting info. Tho other day I watched James Reeves review on a RIA revolver and he mentioned fine dining at the Hooters on Pensacola Beach. I did not know there was a connection.

I did a quick walk through at Gray Man today and they had a 1301 with the silver marine finish for right at $1300 if I saw it correctly. Still need to save up some lunch money before I bother handling one.

The Lack of accessories is frustrating but as far as operating mine has been perfect so far

I just picked up a 1301 at greyman armory two weeks ago. They had a FDE, black with pistol grip, and the marine finish. I got their last FDE and asked about the od green and they said that they might not be able to get that color or the FDE anymore from their distributor. I also picked up the Nordic components magazine extension as well
I haven’t had a chance to shoot it yet but it feels really good holding it.

I saw those in there a few days ago. I didn't bother to have them get one down, but they seem pretty "well equipped" for the price. When FFT and others get their aftermarket parts running, that should fill in the gaps. Appears to be a good alternative in a semi.

Not gonna lie, as far as looks go, I didn't think the m4 had much competition until the 1301 now.

I am pretty happy with the looks of it. Gonna add a surefire mini scout to it and call it a day. I may add a red dot but that will be later.
Just need to shoot it now. Which from the reviews I am really looking forward to that.

I was on the fence about the FDE as well until I saw it in person. Took it out today and put some work in. Love the way it shoots. Recoil to me was pretty minimal compared to how light it is. Picked up some buckshot from @frog03 today and grouped it at 10 yards and it grouped really well.

So for a minute, I've been thinking about getting a semi-automatic shotgun for home/self defense.

I had a Mossberg SA-20 Tactical, felt a bit good operating it, however it had some issues where the spent shells wouldn't eject, ended up selling it. I get really bad vibes from guns that jam.

With that in mind, excluding the Benelli M4, what would y'all say are some semi-auto's I should consider for a serious role?

So I don’t have much to compare with but will say that I love the 1301 that I picked up a couple of weeks ago.
