I Have a good supply of ammunition, but the fact that resupply is difficult has taken the fun out of range days.

This is my problem. I’m good, but it still just doesn’t feel right blasting away knowing the cost to replace / uncertainty of replacing reasonably in The near future makes it no fun.

I put 150 or so rounds of 9mm down range at Oak Ridge the other day and it cost me about $15 ...money I spent on components long ago.

Last panic it was powder I could not find...now it's primers. I never seem to get smart enough to guess right. I am knee deep in powder and srp, but I can find a pistol primer to save my life.

Hell, buying required ammo quantities for Advanced Firearms Courses really sucks now. Some here may still have Uncle Sugar providing the ammo and paying all related costs.

That may come to an end when Biden gets in office! They will have our troops practicing w/ .22's like Carter did back in the late 70's!

I agree that pistol primers are very hard to find, and I've seen them bring some prices that are beyond crazy. Fortunately, I was a bit of a hoarder (even more than now) back in the 80s & early 90s. Today I'm still using Winchester pistol primers (large & small) that I bought for around a penny each, and I have "plenty." Same with powder, bought long ago and stored properly.

Well I only have a few thousand primers from a few years ago...should have listened to JJ when he suggested to have 10k per handgun/rifle type. So in the mean time, reload and practice and also go to backup .22 handgun to keep proficient...Then again going out to JJ's to shoot, you end up talking most of the time and catching up on hot scoop and maybe a little shooting...

Just doing a little math, in order for me and the wife to get to the range for probably an hour or two would cost close to $250/300 with current ammo prices. Definitely not going to be as enjoyable
