What if just having a Revolver in the Small Arms Locker makes You a Grumpy Old Man?

How Young do you want to be?

I mean there is a Fountain of Youth in Saint Augustine, even though the Monument to all the Boys from Florida that gave thier lives during the War of Northern Aggression has been removed Today.

But I digress! Perhaps you become Old when your still around while revisionists are rewriting History?

I like em because it re enforces making every shot count, no spray and pray shooting. Besides its just fun to thumb the hammer, line up the shot and blast!
Not quite as reinforcing as a TC Contender Single Shot Pistol, but probably a lot less than Double Stacked 9mm Long Mag..................
But how do you explain the the gratifying "Thump in your hand" when a Magnum Round (.357/.44 or larger) heads Downrange?????

According to my kids I’m “Oldish” but my revolver attraction stems from two things. My Dad was cop back in the 60’s and 70’s. He carried and competed with a revolver. It is a connection back to him. The other thing is I want to be a person that can shoot anything I pick up, semi auto, revolver, bolt gun whatever...

I am 55 and have about an even number of revolvers and semi-autos. I am due to buy another revolver as I just bought a semi auto, got to keep an even number.

Are any of the revolvers older than you?

    Yes, just one.
1 - better sell me the rest quick and cheap. You don’t want to be an old fart!

Perhaps it's to late, and I wouldn't want you to become an Old Fart while I was getting younger & better looking. LOL.

Not complete just a quick pictorial for those that appreciate Gunporn.

I’ve found myself interested more and more lately in revolvers. I remember selling a old sw pre 29, several years ago and listed it “because I’m not a revolver guy”. Now there’s just something about them that plastic semi autos don’t have.

I probably have more automatics, 1911s and A-1s, Nazi Lugars, P-38s, etc., than revolvers. My oldest revolver is a .44 double action Starr, civil war era. I do have a cased, engraved Colt Python with a Colt Custom Shop letter.
I sorta like to hear a double action revolver being thumb cocked....it's like a pump shotgun being racked. Only a deaf person would need an interpreter. But to answer the question.....I am old.

Can I quote my children? "Age is just a number" Bet they never expected to have that come back to haunt them? Can't wait till the Grandchildren express to them that age is nothing more than a number! What goes around comes around, JMHO. (LOL)

My Father told me that the first 100 years are the hardest!
