Sorting is seriously messed up

Sorting in firearms for sale section has been jacked up for a week. Sale section is worthless until fixed. An ad for a gun that sold 6 days ago is before a ad that posted 5 hours ago - just one example...

I wasn't going to say anything but it's been happening to me too. Look at the time for the spikes ar15. Buried on the second page but has new replies.
I also have issues where new threads will not show up in the for sale section or in the new posts feed, but will appear after someone comments on them. Usually too late. I have missed 3 items I would have purchased.

Very True. Been going down hill for a while now. I find myself on here alot less.

The threads will move to the top of the page as they are commented on, always has been like that. Now why the time stamp doesn't change on the list page, I'm not sure.

Stage20, you can click the "watch" tab above the listings and it should send you a notification when a new For Sale ad is posted. Of course you can do this with any subsection of the forum.

You have to actually bump your thread now, not just comment on it. Last night I added a trade interest to my post then toward the top of the ad is a tab that says bump thread.

I've tried to help members that want to bump their ad with this info. Maybe we could get this post stickied so others can see it?

I'll try to write something up later today and post it as a sticky in the For Sale section. A lot of changes on here lately, heck I forgot to hit that tab on one of my threads the other day.

Not exactly anymore. I've found the only way to have it sorted properly is to manually force it by hitting the red Filter button, but that only changes it temporarily. This is not necessary in any other section.

I've asked in the other thread, but I'll ask again here: how do we select/change the "default" sorting method for a section?

For what it’s worth, I don’t notice any of these issues, but I only ever use Tapatalk to view the forum on my phone.

That's the thing. It had new comments and was buried on the second page.
It should have been the 1st or 2nd post on the first page at that given time.

I thought comments were being disabled in the classified ads

Are you using computer or Tapatalk app? Based on the replies here and the screenshot posted I’m thinking this may be an issue for those of us who use Tapatalk - which I use exclusively - never access this forum on computer always mobile. Looking at my posts on the app I don’t have a bump button and the sorting is not working right.

It does the same thing on an iPhone AND on a windows-based laptop.
