You know who the people are that own all the shitty guns. They are the ones that buy up all that magnet trash.
Then when they go to sell the gun, they never admit to it ever have had steel in it. --- SAWMAN

my shitty LWRC and DD run steel just fine,For that matter so do my PSA and BCA. do I run it regularly? No I don’t, will I run it if I get it on sale? Damn right I will. Again like my post said, if it won’t run it, then it’s not worth my time. I’m not a snob when it come to ammo. I like to shoot not collect safe queens. By the time I burn a barrel out shooting steel, the money saved will have bought two replacements barrels. Just my 2 cents though. You do you and I’ll do me.

When the extractor and ejector plunger goes to shit, send it back to LWRC with a letter stateing . . . "It has been a great gun, only after the 1000th rd of shitty steel cased ammo did it quit working." They should cover that.
FOR ME - - -> If I were going to buy a gun, knowing that I was gonna shoot rusty ammo,it sure would not be a LWRC. There are plenty of <$500 guns around to intentionally abuse. Shit . . . I would get an AK or SKS . . . they are designed for rusty steel, partially lacquered blastin' ammo. ---- SAWMAN

The extractor and ejector plunger are very cheap parts that I have plenty of laying around in my small parts containers, ( under a few dollars a piece) I agree that they do wear out faster, but are easily replaced. I would never send my guns back to the manufacturer for such things. I do proper Maintenance clean and checking all parts after each range session as I’m “anal” when it comes to that sorta thing.

As far as the rusting part, I’m confused. I have a thousand rounds of wolf that’s stored in ammo cans inside with silica packs. Non are rusted and I’ve never had them rust. And the silica packs are free, my wife saves them for my from all the stuff they come in. ie all the shoes and every electronic that comes in my house.
While I agree with you that steel is not as good as brass, I don’t mag dump regularly or get my rifles red hot on steel to cause most issues folks have. I understand how and the science behind the steel v brass ammo discussion and take all risk without worrying about it.

I still stand firm behind this and until someone wants to sponsor me with only brass ammo I’ll continue to shoot it. I guess we will just agree to disagree. -JPyritz
