    yep

What do you want to know? Shoot out to 100 yd plus an area to set up your clay thrower. It's okay if you don't mind shooting through pipes.

I think all of the newer Alabama public ranges are like that. I guess it has some safety purpose in their eyes.

There are also sliding doors at each position and they are all connected together. To make the range cold all the doors slide closed so some yahoo can't shoot someone that is putting up targets. With no RO I imagine it could get crazy with just anyone showing up to shoot.

Those pipes will become lead hazards in very short order. I can also seeing some intelligent individual shooting the doors not thinking about it. I see a very expensive lawsuit in the making or, at the very least, an EPA visit in their future.

I don't think anyone will shoot the doors. They are right in your face. All shooting ranges are a lead hazard and have to deal with the EPA.

Never under estimate the power of stupid people. As to the lead hazard, lead in berms or lead in open air is one thing. This will be concentrating lead in a small air space which can then be propelled into the shooter's face based on wind direction. Think of someone blowing lead dust directly into your face. Additionally, consider the mercury deposits left from someone shooting some of the corrosive Russian and Eastern Bloc milsurp ammo.

I don't disagree with you on the lead and mercury exposure.
    I edited my post above:

EPA doesn't regulate but can get involved for levels that violate their rules. OSHA has shutdown several ranges and fined them for lead levels. Tom over at the Gold Mine, closed his range due to the potential of OSHA coming in and fining him even though he has all the required safety equipment and ventilation in place. He determined the potential liability was more dangerous than the expense of letting the area sit idle.
