    SUMMIT VIPER SD CLIMBING TREESTAND - NE Pensacola. pre-owned, excellent condition. It comes with foot stirrups and Third Hand safety straps that secure the upper climber to the lower platform in case you were to drop the bottom while climbing! $125 firm.

    Is this the newer aluminum or one of the old steel versions.

    I don't know for sure, but my guess is that judging by the ease of portability and light weight, it's probably aluminum. You're welcome to take a look at it one day and see what you think. Thank you for your interest.

    Sure I was happy to do it. I put my studfinder magnet on it. There is some steel indicated in some on the metal tubes where the lock-on cables insert in the lower platform. I did not pick up any steel on the upper platform cable insert tubes. On the lower platform, the magnet stuck on several places, more on one cable insert side than I picked up on the other side. In the picture, I am referring to the tubes that the stirrups are attached. So, it appears to be about 99% aluminum and maybe 1% steel? I hope that helps.
