    Item Description
Initially got the gun and was going to hunt with it but decided I don't have the time or the desire to be in freezing weather. I installed a rail to put a scope on but never did. Also comes with 35rds of ammo. Gun is very accurate with iron sights. It does need a little work on the stock (clear coat peeling) and has some rust on barrel. Open to trades looking for a pistol or ammo. .40, .380, 9mm, 223/556 and a long shot of .30 Remington (not .30 carbine).

I thought they were all gold triggers, I bought one off the shelf from Wal Mart back in the 80's, not hand fitted

I read that only the "limited editions" were gold triggers. And as far as I know it's not hand fitted

The 3079 was made in 1979 for the Oklahoma Tire and Supply Company (Otasco). Marlin made limited editions every year in several models and each had a different gold medallion in the stock. Don't know about the "hand fitted" part as these were made for Otasco. I have a Model 6084 which is a Model 60 made in 1984 with the Mountain Man medallion.
