Year One List: 81 major Trump achievements, 11 Obama legacy items repealed

    www.washingtonexaminer.com

With the passage of the GOP tax bill this week, the Trump administration has scored 81 major achievements in its first year, making good on campaign promises to provide significant tax cuts, boost U.S. energy production, and restore respect to the United States, according to the White House.

And along the way, President Trump even outdid his own expectations and slashed at least 11 major legacy items of former President Barack Obama, including cracking down on the open border, slowing recognition of communist Cuba and effectively killing Obamacare by ending the mandate that everyone have health insurance or face a tax.

According to the White House, the 81 accomplishments are in 12 major categories and include well over 100 other minor achievements.

The unofficial list helps to counter the impression in the mainstream media and among congressional Democrats that outside the approval of Supreme Court Neil Gorsuch and passage of the tax reform bill little was done.

Administrations typically tout their achievements broadly at the end of each year, but Trump plans to list jobs added, regulations killed, foreign policy victories won, and moves to help veterans and even drug addicts.

And in a sign of support for conservatives, the White House also is highlighting achievements for the pro-life community.

I have to say I had real doubts about Trump. Hillary is a crook, period, so I just felt like I was picking the lesser of two evils....but, Trump is the real deal. This country needed a President who would work to re-establish the rule of law, cut the deficit, get the economy going and stop burning our money...and he is well on his way. There is sooo much corruption, I had no idea how bad it was, I just knew it existed but this is a Reagan-like resurgence and he truly is undermining the institutions of control and corruption. The Washington insiders fear him as the party might be over for them...hopefully so. Let the working class work, keep the fruits of their labor, protect us from threats foreign and domestic, enforce objective law and practice fiscal responsibility....so far, so good and I don't see anything except the ruling class changing that. There is a non-violent coup taking place imo, but the nation is a nation of laws, not men and if we still are; this will end good for everyone except those who live on the grift

IMO - - -> Normally the Repubs hate and try to obstruct a Dem POTUS. And the Dems hate and try to obstruct a Repub POTUS.
Unfortunately, this time our President is hated by the Dems, and the Repubs are scared of him to the point that they have gotten extremely defensive of him. He is out to change Washington and he has both parties scared shitless.

We really need Bernie Sanders for president in 2020. I hope we can just survive trump and his so called "achievements." Lets face it guys, why should we be be behind all of the other developed countries? We desperately need single payer universal health care and a paid college education for all who want it. A person just out of college should not have to be strapped with debt for the rest of his/her life.

If you love socialism so much there are plenty of places you can go and have everything you want. No need to ruin our country. I'm sure Venezuela would love another tax payer...

from what I hear, it ain't working out too good for Sweden either, usually held up as a model for the progressives to use...

Venezuela, where you stand in line for 6 hrs to find out they are out of what you were waiting for...you know, luxury items...

You feel free to give them all of your money if you want to, that's your right. I worked a full time job when I was going to school. No body gave me a thing.

There is such a thing as penny wise and pound foolish. We need to continue to lead in the area of new developments, in technology, science, medicine and the like. Making college more affordable increases the likelihood that we will continue to develop brilliant minds who can help us achieve technological dominance in the future. Even if we don't completely subsidize college, we can take steps to make it more affordable and reduce the tremendous negative impact the student loan has on recent grads.

I am all for Trump. He has done alot for the US and has made the market jump up alot. Hell I think just my Vanguard account (Wellington Admiral Fund) has made me well over 45K in the last six months... I have not even logged into my Fidelity 401k to check it yet.

Yes it can fall back down too but I don't worry about that to much yet. I will when I get older.

    Go TRUMP!!!
