Currently I have a model 70 featherweight and I absolutely love this rifle but of course there is one con.. The blueing. I love the way blueing looks on a rifle but I also hate how they can get surface rust fast. When I hunt I will hunt the brightest of days to sitting in the rain for hours... Just like yesterday. I sat in the rain from 2pm - dark, got down, wiped off my rifle as good as I could and stuck it in the case for the ride home. I didn't get to tend to the rifle until two hours later when rust was already starting to show. Is there a cerakote option that comes pretty close to blueing like in this picture of my model 70? If not anyone ever used gloss black and if so in your preference how does the gloss black appear? Just looking for a coating that will help with surface rust and still keep a classy look with the rifle.
