Picked up today, after waiting since spring.
Compact double stack 9mm 1911. iDig!
It’s very nice. Love the grip, it feels fatter than 1911, even though it’s no longer or wider. I think it’s the corners and wider front and backstraps. The size feels perfect, so does the fit in hand, very positive first impressions. Thanks to all who contributed.

Nice! That is a beautiful gun! I shot with a guy 2 weeks ago that had one and it is fine art! One day I'll be like Dante:wave:

It's absolutely the corners and front strap. It may not be any wider at the widest part of the grips(for standard gi panels) but if you measure the circumfeance you'll see.
It's a trick they do to make double stacks seem narrow. my 3913 is wider than a glock 19, despite the slide being less than an inch wide, because of the decocker lever.
As long as it fits your hand well it shouldn't make a difference in carrying it. Unless you spray paint your shirts on, like I do.

    No grip safety?

But what if you drop it from horseback while executing a charge?!?

    That crown is offensive.

Well, there’s no drop safety, so it would pull a P320
Thanks, i really like how it turned out. Started out life like this:

There's only one way to find out.

No, not really, the half cocked notch should catch it.
Don’t let the external extractor fool you. This is no Sig.

Dan. one of the Forum members listed a 1911 in 38 super for sale. I think it was a Dan Wesson.

Just saying . . . and you are welcome :)
