CC Choices advice

I'm not a die hard gun lover but go to the range once a month or so and am looking for a comfortable CC weapon. I have a Beretta PX4 9mm but it is full size. I like it but do not want to carry something that big. I've looked at the PX4 9mm compact and like the SA/DA aspect but lean in preference to a revolver. The Ruger SP101 is not comfortable in my hand with its small grip and I seldom use it. I would like something with a bit larger grip but about the size of the SP101 or a 6 shot. Any recommendations?

The SP101 has a 4 inch barrel. I didn't mention that part. Would prefer shorter. I had not thought of changing grips. Much less expensive option. My wife has a S&W Model 637 that she doesn't carry. If grip change would be an option for that model I'll carry it. Thanks for the advice.
