Asking for help for a Pal.

He just texted me the following and asked if I’d post it here for possible insight on solution.
    Thanks in advance!

    Here is his text:
I shot the rifle I changed the barrel on from .243 to 7mm-08 today. With several different loads and it flatted the primers and the bolt was hard to open. Thought I had the head space right but now wondering? Could u ask on the forum for opinions? I'm not sure how to do it.

If the 7-08 load is within SAAMI specs as far as pressures, can he find another 7-08 and see if his ammo will chamber in that gun ?? Better still a FACTORY 7-08 loading.
This alone should narrow the problem down considerably. ---- SAWMAN

    Thanks fellas.
He's following along with your replies.

I would not attempt a project like this.

Good thing everyone isn't like me.
