I don't particularly care for donuts but Maynards is pretty good. Their apple or blueberry pastry thing is awesome and they serve Kau coffee, a hawian bean, that is excellent.
Of course nothing really tops Milton bakery or the old J's bakery on 12th.

a cup of French roast mixed with café bustelo, and creamer will soften those babies up...I ain't proud, ate many a stale donut....with coffee or cold choc milk

You die hard donut eaters apparently missed the Pumpkin Spice Donuts from Krispy Kreme. It was a special on the 26th.
And with all the colorful donuts and the weird/odd flavors really takes away from what a real donut is supposed to taste like.
