How to spot a counterfeit EOTech optic, Mfg's Advice
It doesn't matter if you buying a new or use EOTech, counterfeit knockoffs are out their in ever increasing numbers. Not just the optic but the packaging is copied also. Some differences are easy t detect while others are small details. Counterfeits have markings and serial numbers too. There was a period when the knockoffs had no Ser#, then there were about six different serial # that were used. The Link 1 and 2 provides a clear comparison between the authentic product and the knockoff. Counterfeiters get better at it all the time but the won't correct everything. If your going shopping for one put the Link on your mobile device or print it. Don't buy sight unseen from the Net unless your 100% sure its a reputable dealer with a guarantee on optics.
