Saw this earlier and figured I'd share it here. The size is close to a G19 and 15 rd mags.
It's supposed to be released Monday.

I think it is as well. I like the size of the 19. This should be a great mix. Hopefully it will fit within the rebate period and you'll be able to get a couple extra mags.

Looks like a lot of manufacturers are learning from Glock and releasing models that are around that size. It's my favorite sized handgun due to its' versatility. I like the new grip texture too. Some may consider it too aggressive but I love the RTF2 from Glock so go figure.

The 2.0 grip texture, to me, is excellent. Definitely a huge improvement from the original but not enough to bother on a ccw.

Damn you Smith...... I don't need to buy another gun but I always thought that a M&P2.0 with a .25" shorter barrel and 2 less rounds was really what I've been looking for......

At least there's a military discount

I want to find a reason to buy one but... I have a mid-size and a compact.

I'm still not a fan of Smith's triggers. The 2.0 is better but it needs an Apex to be closer to perfect. Out of the box, the P10C is the best imho. Still, I think it's a step in the right direction for Smith.

Looks nice . Wonder if the trigger still blows goats?
If it's anything like the 2.0 I just sold, it's way better than the gen 1. A more tactile reset and fairly smooth out of the box. Apex is still the best upgrade though.

correct. when big contracts drop, FBI, Navy Seals, SOCOM etc..and big names such as Surefire (XC1) and Inforce (APLc) makes products tailored for the G19, The competition pays attention. I remember my first G19 in 2005. the only real competition at that time was the S&W M&P and Springfield XD was still a baby. fast forward 14 years, S&W just released this. too late but still a good move. better late than never. there is a big market for a 4" barrel 15 rounder striker fired. but you already know that :thumb:
