Had some one here to day and was trying to show him about adjusting parts to work in a carbine, and some of the problems you can run In to and what to do to correct them. When I open one of my carbine up had a bunch of , what looked like sand come out of the buffer tube when I removed the buffer. On checking, found the back part of the buffer had deteriorated , the only thing I can come up with is it was made of plastic and not some thing that would hold up, so it was cheap. got a pict Just my 5 cents jj

Sawman you need to reread the post a couple of times, and then sat down and have a cup of coffee, and read the paper. And think about it.

jj... some buffer suppliers claim to use some sort of tungsten powder ... not sure what else it might be good for...perhaps cast up some tungsten tipped penetrators.

Yeah . . . . I believe that your problem is that you are using them el-cheapo Pakistani buffers that use sand for the appropriate weight.
Cough up the dough and buy a JP Silent Captured Recoil Spring and . . . . . no more sand in your action.
Oh forget it. I'm going in for some coffee. --- SAWMAN

The jp system really is a fantastic addition, so I second this and I'm going for my mid afternoon cup.

    jj wont change buffers.
In my post #9 he most likely thinks that I am talking about when he was 15 years old, with his girlfriend out at the beach. (He didn't know what the "fix" to the problem was then either.) --- SAWMAN
