I am looking to sell or trade my marlin 30-30 336w for a bolt action .308. I need advice on a solid bolt action that can shoot .308 or nato 7.62x51. Nowadays folks all seem to be experts 9n the Ar10. I'm not looking freaking delta force tactical or to reach out and touch someone from 2 miles out. I just want to get a decent .308 set up for 450-500 yards in a bolt action. Any advice one I sell or trade in my marlin?

I thought about a 700 but I'm one of those "crazies" who thinks about what if scenarios. If the world goes to crap there will either be 5.55 ammo around, which I have, and nato 7.62x51 ammo depending on what's going on.
