I don't think anyone can call themselves a real American unless they have at least 10,000 rounds on hand.

If you don't reload...you might need to rethink that ;)

Look, all it's gonna take is ONE Demoncrat Prez with
House & Senate in tow, and a whole world of poop
will open up...and if you aren't prepared for that,
it's like being unprepared for a hurricane down here.

Main thing is to have Safe Storage for your powder...
fire cabinet required, really...got mine from a USNavy
depot sale...every time they get new planes & decomm
old ones, everything goes to auction :) Take Advantage
of the deals!! Half the time they just chuck stuff in the
dumpsters...tool sets, wire, all kindsa stuff...

I wounder how many guns, supplies and ammo were destroyed in SE TX this last week? What would another storm like that do to us here on the forum if it hit here?

I certainly have my share of .223/5.56, 7.62 NATO, .308 WIN, .30-06 M2 Ball, .30-06 M2-AP, 7.62x39, .380ACP, 9mm, 10mm, .40S&W, .45ACP, .44MAG, .50AE, and a little bit of .45LC. I am not hurting for any caliber right now except for .45LC, but I do not shoot it very often and when I do, it is not a lot. I will add that I maintain a certain par level of ammo for shooting and another for setting aside for real world situations. I base my ammo stores on what my needs are for any particular caliber of weapon and the purpose that weapon will serve. When you have as many firearms as I do, you tend to have quite an inventory of ammo to go with them.

I have no problems being labeled a hoarder...may come in handy as a barter item

next door neighbor has over 10K rnds of AK food, and that was just in one buy..

That is an excellent point. There could come the day that currency will become worthless. Ammo could become a huge bargaining commodity as it will be something that a lot of people will need.

it would make me physically sick......lived in florida all my life, lost plenty of stuff to hurricanes, that is why I live 30 miles inland...you could not give me a 5 million dollar house on the beach, or condo

If you sold me one of the CMR's you would not need as much ammo on hand.
