I need some help determining a fair value on this Colt Delta Elite, 10mm, with 10 Colt magazines, box & documents. Anyone with current value knowledge that could help, I would appreciate it. It is used, and has a few holster scuff marks. Thanks.

It is hard to keep my feeling out of this since I absolutely love the 10mm chambering.
I have seen these guns ADVERTISED for upwards of $1000. I have never followed the specific sale long enough to see the actual sale price, although I have watched them for a long time and they did not sell.
I have also seen them sell fairly quickly for $750-$800 WITHOUT the origional box and paperwork or the 10 mags.
My guess - - -> $850-$900. If you can follow some of the sales on Gunbroker,Guns America, and the like, you will come up with an ACTUAL selling price. To me,that is the true "tell".
Of course nowadays the DE has competition from Glock 20,the MOS,and several other 1911 clone's chambered in 10mm. --- SAWMAN

It depends. Will you meet me in a clay pit in Navarre after dark?

Seriously, I think SAWMAN's assessment is pretty accurate. There have been one or two (probably the same one, resold) on this forum, and I think they were in the price range he discusses.

All I needed to do was a "Delta Elite" search on this forum. I didn't realize how many had been bought and sold on this forum the past few years.

Droshki - I just completed my "secret agent" training course. (internet based) I am not afraid to meet you anywhere, anytime.

Yeah like Sawman said if it were a buyer that really wanted one without the fuss of shipping, transfer etc, I could see this beautiful gun going for 9-1k given the condition and all the extra mags. I know I would feel ok about that if I were in the market for this particular type. I don't mind used guns at all and given all the extra mags, I would consider that a huge plus. Anyhow GLWS

Well. looks like I'm going to have to sell magazines one-at-a-time on Ebay, and shoot the hell out of this one. Backwards on another deal. But, at least I only have a small pile of AR15 crap to look at now. Another valuable lesson (costly).

I would surely varify it's "birthday" from Colt. It could be an earlier or later gun and that could add some value.
IIRC they also made some blued guns so this stainless could add a few $$.
Mags . . . are they specific to the 10mm DE. Do they have any of this stamped on them. They are not simply 45ACP mags, right ?? --- SAWMAN

45 mags aren't ribbed. Those look like factory Colt mags. Good news is you're looking at $350-400 worth of mags.

Looks like a Post 2009 Model 02020. There are several variants out there. GLWS

Gunwatcher list of current DE for sale (some New), sold prices at bottom of page. Obviously used stock would list for less then new. Its also competing against new with rail. I do like the mag qty as pkgs go, selling sepeately is a pain. Railed DE are listed in a separate search.

Being able to purchase a Glock 40 MOS Longslide with 6" bbl for little over $700.,with it's added magcap would be a much better choice for hunting. And a Glock 29 would carry about the same. Somewhat thicker but not as big of "print".
So for me,the Colt would just be a good to have and fun to shoot pistol.
Would suggest you post it up here for $900 and see what happens. --- SAWMAN
