I have seen the Mossy Shockwave and Rem TAC-14 but no also have no personal desire to put such a firearm in a tactical role (same feelings for 45/410 revolvers). To each his own choice. I do like the fun factor and this leads to two other options that reflect days gone by. The first is a Howdah black powder version in 20 ga. which is covered in the first Link which also provide historical information. A lot of people don't like the slow speed or mess of BP, now there is a 45LC/410 model which is covered in the second link.

I like the grip and exposed hammers of the BP but the ease of use with the 45/410 is calling my name. Price far exceeds the pump and revolver options.

With the 45/410, there is a lack of accuracy with 45 lc jumping 1 1/2 " to rifling , have looked at 450 mongo load - 444 expanded to .452 or 45-70 to ingage rifling . No jump , powder load at 45 lc levels with wadding to fill round . 410 slug is 1/5 oz mongo will match power with 230-250 gr . Have my cautions about this have not done this yet . Bp substitue or Bp ?
